Looking for a safe place for your best friend while you are away? River’s Edge Canine now offers overnight boarding! Intimate, small capacity, family like setting; we live on site! 24/7/365 video/fire/security surveillance. Each kennel is equipped with an indoor and covered outdoor space. Large exercise areas for dogs to be dogs! We accepts all breeds, all ages, all sizes, regardless of social ability.

Prices:

Overnight Boarder - $40 per night (tax included)

Additional Boarder - $35 per night (tax included)

Any Additional Boarder - $30 per night (tax included)

Available Add On’s for Grooming:

Bath - $30 (brush, shampoo & dry)

Nail Trim - $20

*We do not offer full grooming options at this time (cuts, de-shedding, or shave).

How to schedule an overnight stay?

Please fill out our online submission form. If your pup has already stayed with us before you can text/call (716) 725-4399 or email (alex@recanine.com) to reserve your kennel! We will email you an application, waiver, and overnight-stay confirmation.

What vaccinations are required?

Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and a yearly Bordetella (Canine Cough). Titer tests are acceptable. Dogs will not be allowed to stay without the proper records.

Drop off and pick-up times?

Monday: 9:00-11:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Tuesday: 9:00-11:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Wednesday: 9:00-11:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Thursday 8:00-9:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Friday: 9:00-11:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Saturday: 8:00-9:00AM or 5:00-7:00PM

Sunday: 5:00-7:00PM ONLY

Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the building. Please do not unleash your dog in the parking lot.

What to pack?

Your dogs normal dog food (bags, containers, individual packages, and raw food are all acceptable), treats, leash, medications (in their original bottles w/ instructions), and vaccination records. We ask that if you bring your own bedding, please make sure it is clean and able to be washed*!

*These will be removed at any sign of chewing/un-stuffing.

What is in my dogs’ personal indoor/outdoor kennel area?

Each pup has a raised cot, free access to water, plush dog mat, and any indestructible toys that have been provided (benebones, nylabones, antlers). Rawhides and large edible bones will not be given for safety reasons.

Can you check in on your dog?

*Please allow a few hours for a reply. We are probably busy with the dogs :)!

What happens if your dog becomes ill?

You or your emergency contact will be contacted; a plan of action will be formulated. In case of a true emergency your dog will transported to the nearest Emergency Clinic.

Holidays.

We require a minimum stay of 2 nights for major holidays.

We are not open for pick-up or drop off on the Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Years Day.

Christmas Eve we have modified hours for pick-up and drop-off: 8:00-9:00AM only for Sunday 12/24/2023

Climate control.

Indoor kennels are temperature/climate controlled and monitored.

Are the dogs let out of the indoor/outdoor kennel runs?

Yes, we let out our overnight boarders multiple times per day. We believe they need to stretch their legs and do not need to learn to use the bathroom on concrete.

Does my dog play with other dogs?

No, we currently do not offer the option of socialization or daycare. Large outdoor exercise yards, toys, and a doggie pool (weather permitting) are available for your dogs entertainment.
